SimcenterSTAR-CCM+ provides CAE solutions across industry sectors such as aerospace,automotive, nuclear and chemical processing. Simcenter STAR-CCM+ scales forHigh-Performance Computing (HPC) where solutions are provided at greater speedon parallel processes over highly distributed computing facilities. To achievethis, Simcenter STAR-CCM+ is continually tested in HPC environments such thatour customers will exceed their HPC simulation goals. Testing and verifying theperformance of Simcenter STAR-CCM+ in these HPC environments is a complex taskand one that presents tough and exciting challenges as platforms evolve. Also,as new application areas emerge, developers introduce new software to enhancesimulation technologies which presents additional challenges for the ever growingdemands for HPC simulations.

We arelooking for a motivated undergraduate, in the second or third year of theirBachelor's degree, with a strong interest in High Performance Computing,preferably in the field of CAE engineering.

Youwill get the opportunity to:

• Create end to end HPC test cases for real worldindustrial applications that include internal combustion engines, gas turbinesand electric machines. Tests include importing CAD, geometry manipulation,meshing, solving physics and results postprocessing.
• Create HPC performance test cases for CFD andFEA simulations to analyze new software features
• Run, analyze and optimize existing performancetest cases
• Archive test cases and document tests

Requirements:

• Currently enrolled at university, in the 2nd or3rd year, pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer / Mechanical / Chemical /Aerospace Engineering, or other closely related field.
• Demonstrate experience, or keen interest, inhigh performance computing
• Experience running CFD or FEA simulations.Preferably using STAR-CCM+
• Experience using performance profiling tools toidentify performance bottlenecks and problems. Knowledge of both Linux andWindows clusters is preferred
• Work effectively remotely, both independentlyand in teams.
• Ability to analyze and document results andpresent to an audience.
