Our growth has created the need for an Assembly TeamManager for the Locomotive Final Assembly area. In this key role, you will havea tremendous impact on the Assembly portion of the operation. You will lead andmentor a diverse and motivated team of assemblers to build state of the art locomotivevehicles. This is a position for someone who enjoys being on the production floor,leading by example and creating an environment where everyone wins.
What you will bedoing:
Plan production operations,define workflow, and establish priorities and production sequences to meetproject and interdepartmental requirements
Meet project targetsfor direct labor hours, schedule, and quality
Develop, monitor, andmeet department budgets and business plans
Establish, monitor,and adjust manpower, applicable equipment planning and work-order sequencing tomeet production demands.
Facilitate positivecommunication with entire team on a regular basis to keep them informed of workstatus, department performance, process changes, and company policies
Develop and maintainappropriate KPIs along with benchmarks and targets that provide a clearindication of department performance, performance trends, and potential problemareas
What you will need tobe successful:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, or Engineering
5 years managingindustrial operations
3 years' experiencein OEM capital equipment assembly operations, in a schedule driven, high/lowvolume, engineer to order, project environment
Proficient in Exceland Power Point
