TheSiemens Mobility division has an exciting opportunity for aMeasurementSystems Engineering Team Lead to join our Siemens Mobility MRX team, basedat our Belmont office in Perth.

Asthe Measurement Systems Engineering Team Lead, you will be responsible for theline management of a team of 7-10 Mechanical, Software and MechatronicsEngineers, who in turn are responsible for all Measurement Systems design anddevelopment with the Vehicle Measurement group. You will report to the Head ofVEMS Engineering and work alongside five other team leads who are eachresponsible for different Engineering disciplines. Our work is solution andsystems Engineering, working together to design and realise product solutionsthrough the whole PLM lifecycle: sales, concepts, bids, design, manufacture,testing and customer acceptance.

• Teamplanning and allocation

• Teamprofessional development, motivation, goal setting and performance management

• Ensuringyour team follows guidelines, processes and procedures surrounding safety,budget and priorities

• Ensuresthe team develops detailed solutions with the required functionality

• Review/approvedrawings, documents, designs, manufacture orders

• Guideresearch into future system development

• Ensuresupport from your team for other business units: Production, Service, Sales etc


• Theability to lead, support and grow a diverse team

• Excellentcommunication skills, able to discuss a wide range of topics with all membersof the organisation

• Abilityto listen, interpret and choose the best way forward

• Self-motivatedwith a drive to succeed

• Problem-solvingand multitasking

• Abilityto apply diplomacy and compassion

• Ideally 5- 10 years of experience in a product design environment with some time workingin a multi-discipline team

• Mechatronics/ComputerScience/Physics/Software Engineering degree or similar

Beneficial Experience:

• Dataanalysis and processing algorithms

• C++ andPython

• 3Dmodelling in CAD or similar visualisation software

• Instrumentation& data capturing hardware, including camera, lasers, lidar or similar

• Exposureto standards and documenting designs to comply with those standards

• Organisingand leading collaborative reviews around risk, concept, design etc
